St Agnes College hosts blood donation camp in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College Hospital
Mangaluru, May 03, 2023: St Agnes College in Mangaluru witnessed a one-day Blood Donation Camp on May 2, 2023, organized by the Youth Red Cross, NCC, and NSS Units in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College Hospital.
The camp was inaugurated by Sr Dr. Lydia A.C., Joint Secretary of St Agnes Institutions, Mangaluru.
Dr. Kirana Pailoor, Professor and Head of, the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru, addressed the gathering on the importance of blood donation.
Other dignitaries present on the dais included Sr Dr. M Vinora A.C., PG Coordinator of St Agnes College, Sr M Carmel Rita A.C., Administrator of St Agnes College, Programme Officer of Youth Red Cross Prajwal Rao, Programme Officers of NSS Units Dr. Uday Kumar and Dr. Meera Devi, and NCC officers Lt Gayathri B.K. ANO Army wing and Flg Officer Dr. Hithakshi ANO Air Wing.
Vaishnavi welcomed the gathering, while CUO Aparna proposed the vote of thanks, and Priyel compered the program.
Many enthusiastic blood donors attended the event, including Sammitha, NSS Secretary, CUO Aparna Bharadwaj, NCC Secretary, and Rochelle, Youth Red Cross Secretary.
The volunteers of NSS, NCC, and Youth Red Cross offered their services during the camp. In total, around 77 units of blood were collected, making the event a grand success.
