Udupi DC lauds efforts of Sri Krishna Matha in fight against Covid
Udupi, Dec 05, 2021: Udupi Deputy Commissioner M Kurma Rao appreciated Sri Krishna Math’s support in the fight against Covid.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the Free vaccination camp at Sri Krishna Matha’s Rajangana on Sunday.
“Krishna Matha had supplied food to the migrant laborers and people at Covid Care Center during the lockdown. Also, the Matha donated a sophisticated ambulance. The district administration has got good support from the Matha in the fight against Covid. Covid affected have got Krishna’s Prasada and Swamiji’s blessings,” the DC said.
He also thanked the video message of the Swamiji that helped in creating awareness among the people and controlling Covid.
“At present, we have achieved 94.5 percent in the first dose and 74 percent in the second dose. With Krishna’s blessings we will be able to record 100 percent vaccination in the district,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Sripadaru of Adamaru Matha stressed Covid appropriate behavior.
“Even if there are Covid variants, the appropriate behavior will help in keeping it at bay. People should take both the doses of Covid vaccine,” he added.
Paryaya Peetadhipathi Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru, ZP CEO Dr. Naveen Bhat Y, Covid Nodal officer Dr. Prashanth Bhat and social thinker Sethuram, and others were present.
Matha Manager Govindraj welcomed the gathering, Krishnaraja Bhat Kuthpady compered the program.
