 Karnataka mulls booster shots for frontline workers

Bengaluru, Dec 01, 2021: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will discuss about administering booster dose for the health sector frontline workers of health sector during his meeting with the Union Health Minister.

Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar told this to the reporters during his visit to Bengaluru International Airport on Wednesday.

“The Chief Minister will visit Delhi on December 2 and will meet the Health Minister there. He will have discussions on providing the booster (3rd dose) for the health frontline workers,” the Health minister told reporters.

“It is about 7-8 months since they took the vaccine and there are reports about a decrease in antibodies in some of them. Therefore the Chief Minister will take it up with the health minister. If the Central government agrees then we will take necessary steps,” he added.
