Heavy rain likely to continue in Canara Coast

Mangaluru: Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in most of the places in the Canara coast on Sunday.
The satellite picture at 10 am shows thick cloud moving over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
This is likely to bring heavy rainfall in many places, mostly in the coastal belt and also near the Western Ghats.
The region has been experiencing good rains since last few days.
Canara Coast weather forecast for next two days:
IMD has declared orange alert in Dakshina Kannada- Udupi and Uttara Kannada: Orange alert (ranging between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm).
The region is likely to experience very heavy rainfall in most of the places.
June 14 (10 am) to June 15 (8.30 am): Moderate to Heavy rainfall very likely at most places. Warning: Very heavy rainfall/Thundershowers (Orange alert).June 15 (10 am) to June 16 (8.30 am): Moderate to Heavy rainfall very likely at many places. Warning: Heavy rain (Yellow alert).
Warning for fishermen:
Weather warning for fishermen for the Karnataka coast(for the next 24 hours valid from midnight of 14th June).
Strong wind with speed reaching 45-55 km is likely to prevail over the East Central Arabian Sea and Karnataka coast.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
