Bharat Bandh: No impact in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, Sept 27, 2021: Except for protest by a few organizations and political parties, the Bharat Bandh on Monday did not have its impact in Dakshina Kannada.

Shops remained opened and vehicle movement was normal in all parts of the district. While political parties and organizations staged a protest against the Union government, no untoward incident was reported from any part.
To ensure law and order police vigil was beefed up throughout the region.

“I had to attend a function today. I had a doubt about the bandh call disrupting my plan. But it was a normal day,” Rajesh, a businessman, who was on his way to Surathkal to attend a family function said.
