Udupi, March 01, 2021: Eighty-five senior citizens opted to take the COVID vaccine in Udupi district today.

The government has started second round of vaccination from today. People above 60 years and others between 40 and 59 years with comorbidities can take vaccination.

Of the five centers, the highest number of senior citizens opted to take vaccination in TMA Pai Hospital- Udupi. As many as 26 took vaccination here.

Twenty-one got vaccinated at Adarsha Hospital, 19 in District Hospital, 11 in Kundapur Taluk Hospital, and 8 in Karkala Taluk Hospital.

Meanwhile, two with comorbidities (40-59 years) opted for vaccination. One was vaccinated at the District Hospital and the other at Karkala Taluk Hospital.
