‘It was Siddu govt that dropped cases against SDPI, PFI workers’
Mangaluru, Feb 24, 2021: Two days after former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called SDPI as the ‘B Team’ of BJP, Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan paid him back in the same coin today.
Ashwath Narayan was in Mangaluru to inaugurate the ‘Mangaluru Innovation Conclave,’ today.
“SDPI is the B-Team of Congress. It was Siddaramaiah led government that dropped the cases on PFI and SDPI workers. The two organizations grew because of the Congress party and Congress government,” he alleged.
“The previous Congress government had destroyed the documents to support the ban on these organizations. Now fresh documents are being collected. We and our party has clarified our stand on the ban and we stand by it,” he added.
“Congress is known for giving false statements. They continued to do this even after being rejected by the people,” the DCM added.
