MLC election: Section 144 imposed
Udupi, Dec 07, 2021: In the backdrop of the election for Dakshina Kannada Local Authorities Constituency of Legislative Council on Dec 10, Udupi DC has issued prohibitory orders in the 200-meter radius of voting centers.
The prohibitory order is issued to maintain law and order and to facilitate free and fair polling.
The prohibitory order has been issued under CrPC section 144 from 5 pm on December 9 to 5 pm on December 10.
