Dakshina Kannada: Cinema Halls allowed to operate with full capacity

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2021: With the Covid positivity rate decreasing in the district, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V has issued an order allowing Cinema halls, theatres, Multiplex, and auditoriums to operate with 100% of its seating capacity.

The order will come to force with immediate effect.

However, entry will be only for those who have been vaccinated with both doses. The district administration has suggested Pregnant and senior Citizens not visit these places.

The owners and management will be responsible to ensure the rules are strictly followed.

Last month the state government had allowed Cinema halls, theatres, Multiplex, and auditoriums to operate with 100% of its seating capacity in those districts with less than 1 percent positivity rate.

As the positivity rate has decreased below 1 percent in DK, the DC has issued the order now.
