Raghupathi Bhat stresses on basic infrastructure at Padukere beach

Udupi, Sept 29, 2021: Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat has stressed on providing basic infrastructure for tourists at Padukere beach.

He was speaking at the Malpe Development Committee meeting held at Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday.

With the government easing the restrictions, many tourists from outside visit tourists destinations, especially the beaches in Udupi district.

“Padukere beach is also a great tourist spot. The number of tourists visiting the beach has increased over the years. The district administration should provide basic facilities there,” he said.

Bhat wanted a team comprising the residents to manage the beach.

“A committee comprising the local residents, members of Bhajana Mandir, and organizations should be formed. This will help in managing the beach in a better way,” he said.

“Tourists should be able to enjoy the water sports, boating, and other activities along with entertainment. It will help boost tourism,” he added.
