Uttara Kannada: Special campaign to reissue lost documents to flood victims
Karwar, Aug 03, 2021: The Uttara Kannada district administration has opened Singer Window System to reissue the documents to the flood victims.
In the monsoon this year several places in Karwar Taluk were flooded. People were shifted to safer places and temporary rehabilitation camps. Later many had found their important documents like Aadhaar Card, Voter cards missing.
Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has taken up this seriously and directed the officials to start a single-window system at Mallapur Gram Panchayat to provide these documents. A campaign will be held on August 5 to provide the documents to the people.
People can apply for caste certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Election Voter ID Card. Food inspectors, district Aadhar and AJSK consultants, revenue officials, and other nodal officials will be present in the venue during the campaign.
Those who have lost their documents should visit the Panchayat on August 5 and register their names to get the certificates. The application received will be taken on priority and necessary action will be taken, according to a press statement by Assistant Commissioner Vidyashri Chandaragi.
