Karwar, June 22, 2021: About 1,600 doses of Covid vaccines were administered during the Vaccination Camp held at Karnataka Naval Area on June 21.

The camp was held in coordination with the Uttara Kannada District Administration, towards an accelerated vaccination drive for civilian beneficiaries in the age group 18-45 years.

The target population included Casual Labourers employed, contract personnel of Project Seabird, and other local contractors inside Karwar Naval Base and also eligible dependents of defence civilians.

The Vaccination Mela saw active participation and a single dose of vaccine was administered to around 1600 personnel during the day at Covid Vaccination Centre (CVC) set up inside the Naval Base.

The Vaccine Camp was held following Covid-19 appropriate norms, equipped with a queue management system and separate waiting areas for the beneficiaries awaiting their turn or for post-vaccination observation.
All efforts were made to ensure a pleasant experience for every beneficiary visiting the Covid Vaccination Centre (CVC).
