Annual Ratotsava concludes at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha
Udupi, June 20, 2021: ‘Bhagirathi Janmadina’ or ‘Gangavatarana,’ the celebration of River Ganga’s descent also marks the conclusion of the annual ‘Ratotsava,’ at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha.
It is Nityotsava for Udupi Sri Krishna, except during Monsoon from Bhagirathi Janmadina to Uthana Dwadashi.

“Shayanotsava is held on this day. As per the belief, Lord Krishna will wake up on Uthana Dwadashi. Utsava will again resume then,” Adamaru Matha manager Govindraj told reporters.
The Golden Chariot utsava was held to Sri Krishna and Sri Mukhaprana. Paryaya Adamaru Matadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru, Sri Vidyavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Kaniyoor Matha and Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru of Krishnapura Matha were present.
After the utsavam, Tottilupooje on Golden cradle was held in front of Bhagirathi Gudi (at Madhwasarovara).
