Mangaluru, May 29, 2021: Sullia Police officials have arrested two persons in connection to a Jewelry theft case.

On the intervening night of March 31 and April, 1 thief had entered Mohan Jewelry Mart and stole 180-gram gold worth ₹7.50 lakh and cash ₹ 50 thousand cash.

A case under IPC section 457 and 380 was registered at Sullia Police station.

The team led by Sullia Inspector Naveenchandra Jogi and PSI (Law and Order) Harish M R and SI (Crime) Rathan Kumar P had started the investigation.

The police who had started working on various leads have now arrested two persons- Tangaccha alias Mathew alias Mohammed alias Bashir (50), a resident of Talibarambu, Kerala, and Shibu (48), a resident of Mugundapura Taluk, Thrissur district, Kerala.

The police have seized about 147-gram gold worth ₹ 6,61,500 and the materials used for the crime.
