Free treatment for Mucormycosis in Karnataka
Bengaluru, May 21, 2021: In a major decision, the state government has declared to provide free treatment for Mucormycosis (black fungus) in the government hospital.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa declared this at Bengaluru today.
“The state government has decided to provide free treatment at all the district government hospitals for black fungus. This will help the patients can not afford the expense of the treatment,” he said.

Karnataka government has already appointed an expert panel to study Post-Covid black fungus infection.
The treatment facility has been set up in six regional centers across the state including Wenlock and KMC.
