Four engineering students of Srinivas College arrested

For ragging a junior and attacking a lecturer

Mangaluru, March 05, 2021: Four students of Srinivas Engineering College, Mukka have been arrested for ragging a junior student and assaulting a lecturer.

Mangaluru City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar told reporters that four third-year engineering students- Mohammed Bazil, Sambram Alva, Ashwin Johnson, and K U Shamil were placed under suspension by the dean for ragging Karthik Shetty, the first-year engineering student.

The four students on Thursday attacked and threatened a college lecturer. The College Dean as well as the lecturer filed a complaint with the Surathkal Police based on which two cases have been filed- one for the attack on the lecturer and another for ragging.

All the four are from Mangaluru.
