Udupi DC, CEO opt for COVID vaccination
Udupi, Feb 08, 2021: Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh, Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. Naveen Bhat Y led the frontline workers in receiving COVID vaccination today.
“The government has started providing vaccination to the frontline workers. I and ZP CEO have received the vaccination today. This is to create awareness among the frontline workers that the vaccination is safe and there is nothing to fear. We have seen people suffering in ICUs and many deaths in our district. There is no risk in vaccination. We have received it and request other frontline workers to do the same,” DC G Jagadeesh told reporters.
He said that the Tahshildars, Executive Officers, and Police Inspectors will lead the frontline workers in Taluks.
COVID vaccination will be administered to 4040 frontal workers in the district in four centers.
