New COVID-19 strain update: Total number crosses 100
New Delhi, Jan 13, 2021: The total number of persons found to be positive with the new UK variant genome has crossed 100.
According to the health department, the total number of UK variant genomes is 102 today.
The positive samples are being tested at 10 INSACOG labs (NIBMG Kolkata, ILS Bhubaneswar, NIV Pune, NCCS Pune, CCMB Hyderabad, CDFD Hyderabad, InSTEM Bengaluru, NIMHANS Bengaluru, IGIB Delhi, NCDC Delhi) for genome sequencing.
