Union Minister Shripad Naik’s wife dies in an accident near Karwar

Karwar, Jan 11, 2021: Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Y Naik’s wife Vijaya Naik and his secretary died when their vehicle met with an accident at Hosakambi near Yellapur on Monday. The Minister has sustained serious injuries and shifted to Goa.

Preliminary report says that they had been to a temple at Yellapur and were on the way to Gokarna when the car turned turle injuring all the six in the vehicle.

Vijaya Naik died in the accident. Source say that his secretary too died in the incident. Minister and others who sustained serious injuries are being shifted to Goa for treatment.

The Minister is on his Karnataka tour. He had participated in SDM Naturopathy Hospital program on January 9. Yesterday he had been to Udupi Sri Krishna Matha.

Today the Minister had been to Uttara Kannada. In the morning he had met Minister Shivaram Hebbar at Yellapura.
