Udupi, Jan 06, 2021: Two senior Congress leaders from Canara districts have been appointed by the Congress party as observers to oversee the campaign management in the election-bound states.

Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry will be facing election in a few months.

The Congress party has appointed three observers each for overseeing election campaign management and coordination in these states.

Two senior Congress leaders from the coastal region- B K Hariprasad and M Veerappa Moily have been given the responsibility of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu respectively.

While Moily hails from Udupi district, Hariprasad has his roots in Dakshina Kannada.

Assam: Bhupesh Baghel, Mukul Wasnik, and Shakeel Ahmad Khan.
Kerala: Ashok Gehlot, Luizinho Feleiro, Dr G Parameshwara
Tamil Nadu and Puducherry: Dr. M Veerappa Moily, M M Pallam Raju, Nitin Raut.
West Bengal: B K Hariprasad, Alamgir Alam, Vijay Inder Singla.

MLC and former MP B K Hariprasad and Former Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily are known for their association with the Congress party and party high command. They are also actively involved in the party activities and in organizing the party. While B K Hariprasad was recently nominated as MLC, Moily had lost the last election.

Now the party has given the two the responsibility of election in two crucial states- West Bengal and Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
