Udupi, Nov 09: Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat held a meeting with the landowners whose land has been notified for widening the Manipal-Permpalli-Ambagilu road.

The Manipal-Perampalli-Ambagilu road is the parallel road between Udupi and Manipal. Widening this road will not only ease the traffic over the Udupi-Kadiyali-Manipal road but will also help the people from Kundapur, Byndoor and Brahmavar in reaching the Deputy Commissioner’s office and other government offices at Manipal.

The meeting was held at the Udupi Development Authority (UDA) office on Monday.
Bhat held discussions with 46 landowners. While 43 agreed to provide the land for the widening work, three have asked for some time.

UDA president Raghavendra Kini, Udupi Tahsildar Pradeep Kurdekar, PWD AEE Jagadish Bhat, Junior Engineer Somanath, UDA members Praveen Shetty Kuppettu, Kishore Kumar, Dinakar Poojary, Suma Naik, and others were present.
