‘No seal down of Kateel Temple’

Kateel, Sep 21: Responding to rumors spread in the social media, Kateel Temple authorities said that the temple has not been sealed down.

Seventeen employees of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple have tested COVID positive and are under Home Isolation.

COVID test of all the archaks and employees was conducted. Out of the 99 results provided by the health department, 17 employees tested COVID positive. The main archaks and the assistants tested negative.

“All those tested positive are asymptomatic and as per the guidelines are under Home Isolation,” hereditary archak Sri Harinarayanadasa Asranna told The Canara Post.
He also clarified that the temple has not been sealed down.

“Some people are spreading rumors that the temple has been sealed down. This is not true. The temple is open for devotees as usual,” he added.
