Pranab Mukherjee passes away
New Delhi, Aug 31: Former president Pranab Mukherjee (84) passed away on Monday evening. His son Abhijit Mukherjee confirmed this through a tweet.
Mukherjee tested COVID positive on August 10. He had undergone surgery and was in coma since then.
With a Heavy Heart , this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers ,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India !
