Udupi DC clarifies on Nagarapanchami celebrations

Udupi, July 24: With various confusing messages making rounds on the social media about Nagarapanchami celebration, Udupi DC G Jagadeesh has issued a clarification.

“Nagarapanchami is an important festival, especially in the coastal belt. People can celebrate the festival at their home. But as per the central and state government’s guidelines, there is a restriction on people gathering and celebrating events,” he said.

“Various misleading messages are making rounds on social media. We will take stern action against anybody who circulates misleading messages,” he warned.
