 MRPL donates 5 Ventilators for COVID-19 treatment

Mangaluru, July 01: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) handed over a cheque of Rs 70 lakh to the District Administration.
The cheque is for procuring 5 ventilators to Wenlock District Hospital.
BHV Prasad, GGM – HR and UV Aithal, CGM – HSE handed over the cheque to District Incharge Minister Kota Shrinivas Poojary, and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in the presence of MLA Vedavyas Kamath, other officials of MRPL and District administration at DC office in Mangalore.
As the COVID cases are steadily rising in the country and in the district the District Administration had requested MRPL to facilitate some ventilators to the COVID department of Wenlock Hospital. Following this MRPL sponsored the cost of 5 ventilators, each costing Rs 14 lakhs, as a Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activity. 
District in-charge Minister, MP and MLA appreciated MRPL for providing support to the district administration in its COVID-19 Combat.
