Udupi DC asks people not to panic:

Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said that all the patients were Maharasthra returnees. He asked people not to panic looking at the numbers.
“The number is 150 because we have tested about 2,000 people on June 1 and 2. Earlier when about 200-300 people were tested the number of positives was 15-20. A large number of positives is because of an increase in the number of testing,” he said.
“We have noted that about 10 percent of those who return from Maharastra have tested positive. Of the 410 patients in the district, only two were critical. They too have recovered now. We have also arranged 1,120 beds for COVID patients. People need not panic,” he said.
Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts did not have any cases.
