Woman in quarantine commits suicide in Uttara Kannada

Karwar: A day after a person in quarantine committed suicide in Mangaluru, a similar incident took place at Dandeli in Uttara Kannada district on Friday.

The deceased woman is the grand-mother of a COVID patient.

The 62 year old woman was sent to quarantine in hospital after her grandson person was tested positive a few days ago.

Sources said that on Friday morning she committed suicide by hanging herself to the windowpane of the hospital.

Dandeli Town police have filed a case.
