KSRTC to operate special one-day packages to tourist spots in Kodagu for Madikeri Dasara
Mangaluru, Oct. 8, 2026: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate special one-day package tours covering various tourist attractions in Kodagu for the Madikeri Dasara festival from October 11 to 26.
The special package tours, being organised for the first time by KSRTC, will offer two routes — ‘Kaveri Darshana’ and ‘Kodagu Sobagu’.
Under the ‘Kaveri Darshana’ package, the bus will depart from the Madikeri bus stand at 6.30 a.m. and cover Omkareshwara Temple, Igguthappa Temple, Bhagamandala Temple, Talacauvery Temple, Abbey Falls and Raja’s Seat.
The ‘Kodagu Sobagu’ package will also depart from the Madikeri bus stand at 6.30 a.m. and cover Omkareshwara Temple, Harangi Reservoir/Elephant Camp, Golden Temple, Cauvery Nisargadhama, a coffee plantation, Abbey Falls and Raja’s Seat.
The fare for both packages has been fixed at Rs. 400 for adults and Rs. 300 for children, excluding food and entry fees. Karnataka transport buses will be operated for the tours.
The buses will leave Madikeri at 6.30 a.m. and return to the Madikeri bus stand at 7.30 p.m. the same day.
Advance booking facility has been provided for the package tours. Passengers can reserve seats in advance through the KSRTC website.
Puttur Division KSRTC Divisional Controller has urged the public to make use of the special one-day package tour facility.
