Karwar: Those highly educated foreign returned Indian Citizens who hide their travel details and tour various places during the 14 days home quarantine will now be ‘caught,’ by the alert citizens in Uttara Kannada district.
Taking a strong step, Uttara Kannada district administration has started a “social reporting system ” at all the 12 Talukas.
“This decision has been taken after observing the rising trend of non-disclosure of travel history by highly educated foreign returned Indian citizens,” Deputy Commissioner Dr K Harish Kumar told https://canaranews.blogspot.com/
“Each Taluka helpline facility would be put in place, through which citizens can report the incidents of non-reporting and disclose the travel history of the defaulters. Care will be taken to non-disclosure of the caller,” he assured.
“This type of reporting by the society will create pressure on the defaulters and would help the administration to impose home quarantine on them so the public health at large can be taken care of,” he added.
